En la producción de hongos comestibles se utilizan diversos residuos agroindustriales como la paja de cebada, trigo y avena. Como resultado del cultivo, se producen grandes cantidades de sustrato residual, el cual puede potencialmente ser usado para procesos de biorremediación in situ. En el presente estudio, se cultivó el hongo comestible Pleurotus ostreatus (CP-50) en presencia del hidrocarburo aromático policíclico, antraceno. La cepa se cultivó en tres condiciones: 1) Agar con Extracto de Malta (EMA), CP-50 y antraceno (tratamiento); 2) EMA y CP-50 (testigo) y 3) EMA y antraceno (blanco). We evaluated the effects of saline stress on soluble proteins, lipid peroxidation (TBAR), chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, β-carotene, violaxanthin, and proline in Paulownia imperialis and Paulownia fortunei plants grown in vitro. When the propagated plants reached a determined size, they were transferred aseptically to WPM culture medium containing different sodium chloride concentrations (0, 20, 40, 60, 80, and 160 mM) and were sampled at 15 and 30 days. Proline content was determined at 30 days after transfer only. Protein concentration significantly decreased with the highest salt levels in P. imperialis compared to controls in which no sodium chloride was added. Nothofagus dombeyi (Mirb.) Blume is an evergreen tree, pioneer in habitats subject to unfavorable environmental conditions as nighttime freezing temperatures and low water content. It inhabits zones characterized by cold Winter with freezing temperature and Spring frosts reaching to -5°C. Furthermore, it has the capacity to maintain a functional photosynthetic apparatus at low temperatures. We postulated that N. dombeyi is capable to accumulate dehydrins in leaves in response to cold. В прибрежных наносах линии уреза северного побережья Севастопольской бухты впервые определено содержание белков, аминокислот и углеводов. Установлено преобладание количества белков над углеводами, в то время как в море в целом преобладают углеводные соединения. Если в целом в Севастопольской бухте наблюдаются сезонные колебания концентрации органических веществ, то в условиях наносов, постоянно омывающихся морской водой, сезонная динамика не наблюдается. Отношение концентрации углеводов к белку в наносах составляет десятые и сотые доли, что в десятки раз ниже, чем в поверхностном слое грунтов как открытого моря, так и бухт. Средняя концентрация белков и углеводов в наносах выше, чем в грунтах того же механического состава. |

The goal of this study was to evaluate the effects of seasonal variations on energy metabolism in different tissues of the freshwater crayfish Parastacus brasiliensis (von Martens, 1869). Crayfish were collected monthly from January 2001 to January 2003 in São Francisco de Paula, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in a stream and in a culture tank. Haemolymph samples were collected from each crayfish in the field with a syringe, by puncturing the membrane at the base of the chelipeds. Hepatopancreas, gills, and abdominal muscle were removed for determination of free glucose, glycogen, total lipids, and triglycerides. A amêndoa da castanha de caju é o produto com maior valor econômico do cajueiro, rica em proteínas e ácidos graxos poli-insaturados. Entre os subprodutos do beneficiamento da castanha estão as amêndoas quebradas, de onde se extrai o óleo comestível, resultando em uma farinha desengordurada. Neste trabalho descrevem-se as características do isolado proteico da amêndoa da castanha de caju, obtido a partir da farinha desengordurada, por solubilização das proteínas em condições alcalinas e posterior precipitação ácida. In summer 1979, the natural reproduction of oysters Crassostrea gigas Thunberg, in Marennes-Oleron basin, produced a large number of juveniles which was not the case in summer 1981. If one compares the evolution of the main constituents of the flesh, one can see that, at the beginning of August, before spawning the male oysters in 1981 contained 6,3% less proteins, 34,2% less lipids and 61,2% less glucids than those in 1979 and respectively 12,3%, 21,3% and 69,8% less as far as females are concerned. The energetic value of ash-free dry flesh of female oysters is nearly the same for the two years whereas for male oysters the value is slightly lower in 1981 than in 1979.
